My name’s Lewis, I’m 31 and based in Oxford. My day as an Export Sales Manager in publishing keeps me pretty busy, but I find time to exercise regularly and eat well.
The last thing I want Oxford Fitness to be is just another health blog. There’s loads of those around, including a lot of really cool and professional ones which put mine to shame, and I’m cool with that. I do this as a hobby in my spare time, so want to put out content that people will enjoy as well as getting to grips with my, let’s say unique, style of writing.
This blog started up as my interest in nutrition, health and fitness heightened. After going to the gym for a few years, suffering a few shoulder dislocations, and generally not getting anywhere, I thought it was time to address it and signed up an online personal trainer to help me out.
In 8 weeks I not only managed to improve my health and physique, but I also learnt a hell of a lot about the how to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Working an office job, which often requires overseas travel, it helps me relate to anyone that says they don’t have time to exercise, or don’t have time to eat healthily, as I’m able to do it. So to me, not having time isn’t an excuse.
Disclaimer: From time to time, I am approached by companies who would like their products reviewed. I only accept offers for products which I think are aligned with my (and the blog) ethos. My reviews are exactly that – a review. It’s not a sponsored post. If don’t like the product, then I’ll let you know about it. I do not receive any remuneration for writing anything on this blog. Also, if a post is sponsored, I’ll give you a heads up.
