🍫 Protein Chocolates 🍫 

Let’s start with something big.

You know those little biscuits you sometimes get with a coffee – Lotus biscuits? Well, you can buy them in spread form. SPREADABLE BISCUITS! Is it good for you? Hell no, but these are treats. It’s available as smooth or crunchy, but I’m a crunchy man through and through. It’s not that I don’t like smooth, it’s just that I respect nobody who buys it over crunchy. So yeah, that’s in the centre of these chocolates. Crunchy, biscuit-y, chocolate-y, protein-y, yummy.

The rest of the filling is made up using the incredible Protein Pow Whey Cooking Mix. Seriously, if you’ve not tried making things with it, I question everything about you. It’s so easy to make amazing tasting protein bars, pancakes, chocolates, waffles, brownies…do I need to say more?

Ingredients:

50g Whey Protein Pow Mix

15g-30g cashew butter

5-10g biscuit spread

25g ground almonds

Splash of almond milk

2 bars of chocolate of your choice (I used this Tesco 85%)

Handful toasted hazelnuts

Method:

Make your filling by whacking the whey cooking mix, almond milk, cashew butter, and biscuit spread into a food processor to form a workable dough.

Roll the dough into little balls, adding a toasted hazelnut into the middle.

Melt the chocolate using a bain-marie (oooh check me out, Mr Frenchman).

Pour half your chocolate into your moulds.

If you’ve not eaten them all, put your dough balls into the moulds, then cover with the remainder of the chocolate.

Leave them to set in the fridge for at least 2 hours…they actually taste even better when they’ve been chilling in the fridge for a day and are easier to get out of the moulds.

Devour them, all of them, immediately.
